Articles & Books

Articles and Books, newspapers and catalogues, magazines and reports all have one thing in common: They provide information.

In this, the Information Age, every topic regardless to how arcane or abstract it may seem has been written by someone and is already on the internet. Do not take my word for it. Think of a topic that you believe no one other than yourself knows about or is interested in, enter it into a Google or MSN or any other search engine and see what happens. Go on give it a try.

Given that this is the Information Age and the subject of 'invention' is a hot topic there are millions of pages about it. There are pages about inventors, many of whom most people have never heard of; the laws & legalities -the steps that inventors ought to take to protect their inventions; and other goings-on. In that regard there are several books also on the topic. Here is a list that are helpful to inventors.

According to About.com “[i]t is the most definitive, complete and current do-it-yourself patent book ever written and it is written in an easy to understand laymen’s terms.”

2. Patently Female

This book introduces many items which range from household to technology such as the automatic dishwasher- (Josephine Garis Cochrane –patented 1886) to the disposable Cell phone – Card phone (Randice-Lisa Altschul patented -1999) that are invented by women.
