Inventors Without Borders

Inventors are without borders.  Ever since a man or woman somewhere, (scientists are unsure where or who), invented the first wheel man’s propensity to invent and improve on inventions has not stopped.

There is no country that is void of inventors.  From people on islets to those on continents; to those in tropical climates to those in temperate ones, human beings across the four cardinal points have created unique items to make their lives more comfortable.

Here we chronicle some inventions which make tremendous difference in the quality of our lives today.

Telescope- some say the Dutch Hans Lippershey (1570-1619) but Galeilo introduced it into astronomy

Paper- Since man developed writing there has always been something to write on. The ancient Egyptians used papyrus from the native palm tree. But paper, the closest to what we know today, was invented around 705 by a Chinese scholar called Ts’ai Lun

Printing Press – in 1440 German Inventor Johannes Gutenberg invented the printed press

The flushable toilet was first called a water closet and was invented by Englishman Sir John Harington in the 16th Century for Queen Elizabeth. Over time it has been improved by various people.
