What’s Happening? What’s happening in the world of inventions? That is a question that serious inventors and inventors want answered. They want this question answered because inventors, like anyone serious in their line of business knows, it is crucial to stay on top of their game- to be wired to be connected, to make contacts and to network. Contacts made at inventors’ seminars, workshops, meetings, expos and other gatherings are important. They not only allow you to meet people who can aid in bringing your idea to the market but can also generate ideas. Of course being among like-minded individuals also gives a tremendous boost to morale. Below is a list of events up coming in the months ahead. March American Inventor (ABC Network) The American Inventor is preparing for its second season. This reality show allows inventors to present their inventions to a team of judges. The show’s producers are Simon Cowell from American Idol and British Business man, Peter Jones. The winner is whittled down in three stages. The first is the preliminaries, when the ideas are presented, the judges comment and viewers phone-in their votes. In the semi-finals the six inventors with the most voters receive $50,000 in seed money, a team of experts to make help them turn their invention into the best American invention. April Invent-a-Toy Registration for By Kids for Kids 3rd annual “Invent-a-Toy” World Games national competition begins on . Competition ends on April 6th so get started. The inventions are limited to the following areas: action figures , Activity & Crafts , Dolls & Accessories Educational , Electronic , Games: Board/Card/Action/Skill , Infant Toys , Pre-school , Plush Radio/Remote Control Vehicles and / or Water Toys This event is sponsored by Mattel. Children between of 5 to 19 years are eligible. The winner receives $5,000, savings bond, a trip to NYC, and gets their inventions licensed and patenting by Mattel. Dial Corp.
